Meet

I know what it feels like to carry too much without enough support.

I had spent years in long-term care before moving to New Mexico — a new state, a new marriage, a young family and a fresh start. I built a life in home care, managing three kids, a new relationship and a move without the village I desperately needed. The small community I had leaned on had already moved on before my youngest was even born. And then COVID came.

My husband and I were both healthcare providers on the front lines. We were in survival mode — both of us — for a very long time. I was working in hospice, sitting with people at the end of their lives, holding space for dying patients and their families while quietly falling apart myself. I had taken on more than any one person could hold. And without a village, without support, without anyone holding space for me — the spiral deepened.

That’s when my two older daughters went to live with their dad. The emotional pain became physical. I wasn’t showing up for my youngest the way she deserved. And the story on repeat in my head — I am a terrible mother — had become my entire reality.


What brought me back wasn’t a prescription. It wasn’t a protocol. It was an intuitive return to the most basic things.

I started healing myself the way you find your way in the dark — one small step, then another. And then I fell down the most wonderful rabbit hole. Plant medicine. Breathwork. Energy healing. Ayurvedic principles. Traditional Chinese Medicine. Buddhist philosophy. Somatic awareness. Kundalini. Herbalism. I tried everything. I felt everything. I learned voraciously.

During my breathwork training, I had the opportunity to complete a 21-day structured breathwork protocol — the same protocol studied by Cambridge University researchers who found it could induce profound neurological changes, altered states of consciousness and significant reductions in anxiety and depression. Those 21 days showed me what intentional daily practice could actually do to a human nervous system. And they planted the seed for everything you’re holding right now.

Across all of that learning I kept noticing the same thing… almost everything that was actually helping me fell into one of three categories. Breath. Nourishment. Movement.

It was right around that time that I decided to go back to school. Not because I had it figured out, but because I wanted to understand why these things worked. I wanted the science to meet the soul. I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and school gave me the clinical language to explain what my body had already discovered on its own.

The healing came first. The science came after. And what I found is that they say the exact same thing — just in different languages. I learned to be the bridge between them. I’m not perfect. I’m still healing in some areas — gently, without forcing it — trusting that everything will fall into place as I continue to do the work. But I am calmer than I have ever been. More present. More myself. My nervous system is no longer my enemy. My breath is my medicine.

And the village I never had? I’m building it now. For you.
